So, am I crazy to think that the Cardinals actually had a good draft? I am still upset they passed on deCastro for Floyd, but with the linemen they got when they got 'em, seems like they got a few immediate rotation players who are evenn better prospects longterm.

I'd give a solid B.

I'd say B- to B. Nothing really wows me, but it seems solid.

Polk signed on with Philadelpia, and Gerrell Robinson meets up with his girlfriend Brock up in Denver.

Read a Facebook post that said David Douglas will be signing as an UDFA with the New York Giants. Robert Golden to the Steelers and Paul Vassallo to the Cardinals.

Confirmed by Ryan Finley/AZStarnet.com

As a semi-Broncos fan, I'm dumbfounded by their Osweiler pick. Granted, the other picks (and the McDaniels years) make me wonder if Pat Bowlen intends to hire someone with a brain to run the draft, but Osweiler is a particularly bad fit for the following reasons.

1) Manning is 36, with a history of serious surgeries. The Bronco don't have 3-4 years to develop a QB, they need someone capable of backing up Manning now.
2) Manning is "selfish" about practice reps---he takes all of them. I'm not aware of any successful NFL QBs who understudied Manning--if a QB needs development reps, tough luck.

Osweiler is a terrible fit. The only QB that would fit in this situation is one who was already NFL-ready due to the pressure he faced in college, had a big arm and was a gamer who didn't need (or want?) a lot of practice reps because he learned by studying the game.

Rare qualities, but there was a guy available with them. Elway's best strategy (regardless of draft) is to pray Manning doesn't get hurt, but why waste a high draft pick on such a bad fit. Maybe this is the answer:

“Jack (Elway) is one of my best friends,” said Osweiler about John Elway’s son. “We lived one floor away from each other back in the dorms at Arizona State. Jack and myself have become great friends over the past three years, like I said I feel this is a perfect fit, and I can’t wait to get to Denver.”

BO's body of work is unimpressive, and now he's going to learn that it's a really bad idea to disclose things publicly that could embarrass your boss.

I didn't get their entire draft. Could've had Doug Martin who I REALLY like but traded down. Went for Wolfe in an area of big need, but there were a half dozen better players they could have taken early in the 2nd. Hoped they'd go for LaMichael James and then they took Osweiler. Jeezus H. Somewhat addressed RB with Hillman, but the rest? A big bowl of meh.

Did NOT back up the big Manning splash at all.

I think the Cards had a pretty good draft. Definitely a top 10 draft at least. Id give them a solid B maybe B+

only 28 pac 12 players drafted this year, good for 4th among major conferences and actually only 5th by players per team drafted. kinda concerning. ucla was the only school to have no one drafted. intriguing since the 2008 ucla recruiting class was ranked #13 in the country (true seniors and rs juniors this draft) and the 2009 class was #14 (rs sophomores and juniors).

New TV deal will improve recruiting for all of the Pac-12 schools.
