WAY too early bowl projections

Martavious22, i only now just read this thread. A few pages back you infer that we might be going straight to synthetic turf this year.....did I read you correctly? I've been wondering what the point was going to be of planting real grass for one season and then switching to turf. Wouldn't be surprised if you're right.

Toledo has nothing that I can find anywhere that says this game should be even remotely close.

As an FYI - you've gone from saying the line will be 6.5 to "6.5 and about 10" to now "6.5 - 11". By August you will have it at "6.5 and about 20".

Now, as for the subject of this thread, I think that there are a couple of points that have not been fleshed out enough yet.

- Our defense was bad. I'll agree. What's so funny about that in a division that had Oregon, USC, Washington (remember the Alamo Bowl?), and Stanford? Couple that with a division well known for having incredibly fast, athletic, and explosive offenses, and you'll get high-scoring games. This is especially true with a poor defense. Then, we go to your conference. Who did you have? Northern Illinois? Wow, talk about a football powerhouse! In addition, we aren't replacing nearly as many on defense as you are. That is HUGE, and I'm just unsure how these facts don't make your defense a larger liability than ours (Note: as mentioned earlier, they're both bad, yours will be worse though)!

2. "I thought previous games, from previous seasons don't matter? If Toledo beating RR means nothing, neither does UA beating Toledo 2 and 4 years ago."

- The thing is, you beat a coach a few years ago who was on a different team. You didn't beat this team. In fact, you lost horribly. Both times in recent history. You're not totally wrong here, but I think it's an important distinction to make. It's like comparing tomatoes to cucumbers. Many people think that they're both vegetables and can then be compared, but dig a little deeper and you discover that tomatoes are fruits.

3. "I'm giving UA points for that, I agree it will be tough. IMO, I give 3.5 to the home team, and a few more for it being hot and far away. I think RR being new and working out kinks brings it back about a TD. Without knowing how these teams will play, Arizona shouldn't have much of an advantage outside of the game if you can understand what I'm saying? - Yes, you're right. Thing is, you have a new coach too! Sure, Matt Campbell has coached 1 more game, but that doesn't amount to much with a very different team.

So how does the Kraft Hunger Bowl work? Conference tie-in is "Navy v PAC12", so of course they show Vanderbilt playing Cal.

So Cal I get, obviously. But the last time I checked, Vanderbilt and Navy are two different schools. My niece went to Annapolis, and I doubt she would take kindly to be mistaken for a Vandy grad.
