Why should he throw himself into a fire pit when he has more important things to look forward to? This is just stupid man. If he doesn't want to risk aggravating a small injury in a piece of **** season like this, good for him. Smart man.

its just not this game EOE, he has been this way his entire career at Arizona.

it was his main question mark coming into this year.

dude doesnt play through any minor nicks at at....and if hes sitting now because of selfish reasons that says a ton about his heart too.

if i was a NFL GM, that would be a glaring problem for me too, along with his propensity to always get hurt with bumps and bruises.

that wont cut it in the NFL....not when you get paid to play.

When you're getting paid to play, you have a motivation that you don't have otherwise. It's not something that would kill him in the draft like more serious injuries would...

kid is always hurt.

every time he goes down he almost has to peel himself off the turf to get back up and he rarely ever finishes an entire game and hardly plays two back to back full games.

i love his ability, hate his durability.

hes a great kid, but hes not a pro i put a ton of stock in.

tough to make plays from the sidelines.

So by getting paid to play, he will be tougher and less worried about getting hurt?

That really doesnt make any sense. In fact, one would say since he is getting paid, he would be even more worried about getting hurt.

Wow, lots of great takes in his thread...

Jason Johnson and Willie T are better QB's than Nick Foles.... Criner is mentally and physically weak...

Last season Criner played with turf-toe (ever had it?) for a good part of the year and put up crazy number... Has an appendectomy this year.... The last 2 games have been puzzling for sure, but I am not ready to spew venom in his direction just yet...

We have scores of folks willing to defend Stoops at every turn...

Doesn't make sense?

He's not going to hurt his draft stock by playing through injuries and potentially making matters worse.

If you don't get that, I don't know what to tell you.

Overview

Criner is a raw talent who has been inconsistent throughout his career at Arizona. He has been dominant in the Pac-12 at times and uses his athleticism and leaping ability to simply make more plays than the man across from him. Criner effectively uses his great size when going for jump balls or when "boxing out" to catch balls in the short game. He shows his athleticism after the catch, displaying an ability to make things happen early in the play and the burst to finish them. He needs to learn how to show up every Sunday, but his talent alone legitimizes him as a prospect. He should be one of the first five receivers taken off the board.

Analysis

Strengths

Criner is a lanky but athletic receiver who uses his jumping ability and large catch radius to his advantage when going up for jump balls. He runs crisp routes and is explosive off the line of scrimmage. Criner gets a clean release with ease by using quickness and power, and he understands how to stem his routes to keep cornerbacks off him. He is deceptively agile for such a tall player and is a reliable option in short areas. He can use his lateral agility to make defenders miss and get up the field for yards after the catch. He is a natural who works well against zone defenses and finds his openings and quickly work up field. Criner has emerged over the past year as the go-to receiver for Arizona, and he has a confidence about his play that allows him to match up against the best.

Weaknesses

Criner had a tendency throughout his career to disappear from games if he is not heavily involved in the action. At times his routes can look sloppy. He is a strong blocker but the willingness can slip away from him at times. A medical concern he had before the 2011 season will also be on the minds of scouts.

I would be nice if Nick or Juron would fall to the Texans to keep Earl and Brooks company.

Would be awkward to see Brooks or Earl drilling Nick or Juron.

Hope to see T Wade called.

Dallas came out a month ago and interveiwed a lot of people about Juron. But as you know - the guys never have a clue as to were they are going. Ravens told Gronk they wanted him to replace Todd Heap.

Rumors here that the Donks are looking for receivers w/some of their top picks. Elway has seen Juron in person.
