You always seem to be snide. Barca has had a huge advantage over RM since CR7 went to RM. Alves and the Barca defense defend CR7 quite well. Barca is a better team. They have generally held him in check. That is what I meant and that is the truth. He won't have many multiple goal games against Barca and a lot of his multiple goal games have come in less important games or in out and out routs (look at the end of the last La Liga season).

I am sorry, but Barca is a better team than RM and I still think Messi is a better all around player. You are certainly entitled to your own adoration of CR7, but it's not universally shared and you needn't be snippy about it.

Uhm you're the one who made a totally unnecessary and irrelevant "snippy" comment about Ronaldo. No one said he would score 50 goals against Barca this year (and no one has suggested here that RM will beat Barca in the table this year) - and he actually has a reasonable scoring record against them despite what you attempted to imply, including scoring in Cup matches, so I haven't the slightest idea why you made the comment you did other than a reflexive attack on him and defense of Messi. Not sure how I'm being "snippy" by responding exactly on point to your comment (while your comment as not really on point to the prior posts). It's ok to admit you forgot that it's not 2006 anymore and he's long past the rep of not scoring in games that matter.

I know it's early in the season, but the gap between the haves and the have-nots has been more apparent than ever to me. You scan down the rosters of the big teams in each league - the talent levels are ridiculous.

The only one (and I'm no fan of this club otherwise) that doesn't, on paper, look so intimidating is ManU. I look at the roster from the Arsenal beatdown and think, "Yeah, there are some really good players on that squad, but it pales in comparison to a team like Barca." Makes one appreciate, even if begrudgingly, the skills of Sir Alex.
