You got that right.

Arizona had so much playing time to sell at skill positions this off-season, it wasn't even funny.

If Matt Scott plays to his average next season--two games before injury--Javelle better be ready. He'll probably be needed regardless.

I think when it's all said and done and we look at this class 3 years from now which is when you judge a class - I think quite a few of these kids will be contributors.

Allen at QB
Kelly at DE
Cozens DE
Harper - wherever he plays
Conwell - LB or S
Dozier - LB
Thomas - S
Griffey - WR

Not to mention a slew of guys with speed that the staff will figure out where to play them - Georges, Washington and Bennett.

I seriously don't understand how a fan base can rag on kids that haven't even stepped foot on campus yet? I trust a coaching staff to have a much better idea what they need in a player over a recruiting service. Where one tenth of a point determines whether a kid is a 4 star or a 3 star - seriously?

Again, dc, I can only speak for myself, but I don't think anybody's criticizing the kids who are choosing to come here.

I'm criticizing why more haven't come, and from in-state. With extra time to get them.

Forget debating recruiting rankings--where's the depth? Apparently not in this class, not at Arizona (where it just happens to be the most needed).

I've posted it before. I'll post it again. I'm perfectly happy with the job RR and Co. did with the time they had for this recruiting cycle. Clearly, to me anyway, they hit the ground running and got after it hard. They kept the existing/inherited class in tact for the most part with minimal decommits and they brought new guys in from all over the map including our traditional recruiting grounds and several new ones.

The heralded offensive guru, who has been shredded for the defensive debacle at UM and reputed not to care about defense, went out and recruited a bunch of defensive guys clearly trying to address needs. Lots of promising LB/DB recruits.

I couldn't care less about stars. He went out and got his kind of players. He found some athletes. He beat out Oregon for Bryan Harper. There's a good one - quit your *****ing. So he didn't get Devin Fuller or Davonte Neal. BFD. There will be others. Many others. Have you google mapped UCLA lately? Seen that campus nestled between Brentwood, Bel-Air, Beverly Hills and Hollywood right off the Pacific Ocean? Guess what? We're going to lose that battle 9 times out of 10 until we start Winning. For that matter, Godforsaken Eugene = Winning so we lose that battle for the time being.

If we let him build it, they will come. We don't deserve high-profile recruits yet. We suck. We have to earn them. When we stop sucking, i.e., Winning, we will attract better recruits. It's pretty ****ing simple. Anybody who thought RR could come in here after a year off and the beating he took at UM combined with the present state of the AZ program and simply reel in a top class, in the conference or otherwise, is an unreasonable unrealistic drooling reh-tard.

We got who we got and I LOVE EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM and can't wait to see which ones develop into our favorite storied Wildcats. Bear Down.

Surprise players RR landed? OLB Conwell, WR Clive Georges, Trey Griffey, Javelle Allen, and Brian Wagner

Excited to see which players? OLB Conwell, Javelle Allen, and Brian Wagner.

Who got away that you're bummed about? RB and CB position

Better or worse than you thought?

Etc.
I am overall pretty excited with this class. I am very glade we didn't run for the high rated JC's that seem to always be overrated.

QB: I loved what I have seen from Allen. He looks to have great skill sets. I think he will win the 2nd spot and get mop up duty, unless Morrison does well. Kern showed some good skill sets but I have my reservations still. Overall: Not lights out, but can provide quality depth. Expect a big QB signing next class.

RB: Not excited. Career backups and most likely will be 3rd string. Hard to pull a great RB with a freshman Carey but we need some better depth.

Wr: Solid depth. Big Griffey fan and I am pulling for this kid to be star. Capers is probably the best out this class IMO. Will be interesting to see what happens in this group.

TE: excited and interested to see what this kid does

Oline: Excited about Beau and interested in Gross and Hemmila. Solid depth building here and future starters.

DT: I say its decent depth with Bundage being a future starter. I'm not crazy on it though.

DE: Very Excited to see Kelley and Cozens. I think both will be starters and be a potential Reed and Elmore combination.

LB: Very exited for Conwell and Dozier. Love their size and fit into our new system. I even wouldn't be surprised to see Conwell get some play time. Ippolito might get lost in the crowd. You can't forget Wagner. How can you not be happy about the 3rd leading tackler in the nation joining your team?

S: Love these two guys. The size is great and will probably be needed next year, or atleast one of them.

CB: Blah.. Have some decent speed and size but I believe this is the position I thought we did the worse in.

Can't comment on UA recruiting since I don't follow it all that much, but there have been several studies regarding recruiting rankings and wins. Here is one using Rivals rankings from 2004-2008 and resulting on field performance:

But RR doesn't run the same offense or the same defense that everybody else does so he's not looking for the same guy that everybody else is after. He had classes in the 40's and 50's at WVU and went to 2 BCS bowls.

Where was his Mich classes ranked that just won the Sugar Bowl - they weren't top 25? I think his system trumps what the recruiting services think.

We actually stopped sucking when we went to three bowl games in three years.

I understand GB could not afford for Stoops to turn it around and fired him when he did thats fine.

But to think we suck after bowling three years in a row and then losing four defensive starters that will be back next year. RR better bowl year one with the schedule we have.

And don't bring up UCLA's sorry ass and their five game losing streak to Arizona

That's on GB my friend.

And 70 teams may go to bowls games but how many Pac 12 teams had bowled more than Arizona those three years?

Yeesh, I can't even type that without busting into laughter.

Look uacats we get it, you were best buddies with Stoops or somehow tied to that coaching staff, no one gives a ****. We moved on, so should you, or become a Oklahoma fan and stfu already.
