Hearsay is defined as:

Hearsay is information gathered by one person (salty) from another person (person in the AD) concerning some event (JT dealing drugs), condition, or thing of which the first person had no direct experience.

Hearsay is exactly what the word means. You say what you heard. That's why police evidence is considered hearsay. Hearsay doesn't indicate that something is false it just means that it's inadmissible in court, as pursuant to the sixth amendments confrontation clause.

I misread your previous post I see what you mean now, my fault. But still ECOT is right, it isnt a good idea to say something like that unless you really know that it is true. Calling someone drug dealer is a pretty serious allegation my friend.

Im not ganging up on him, I like Salty, he has a good sense of humor, I just dont think its fair to say something like that about JT unless there is some evidence to support it. Its a pretty serious thing to call someone a drug dealer.


I dont think it has even ever been confirmed that JT was busted for smoking pot let alone selling it, that too is just a rumor as far as I know.

We still do not know for sure the real reason he was suspended.

Sorry my wife was trying to talk to me and I was half assed responding to your posts Salty. The point I was trying to make with the whole hearsay thing is that that is not going to protect you from a charge of libel or slander, the fact remains that you posted on a public forum that he is a drug dealer, information that you claim came from someone who has an ethical and professional obligation to protect student privacy. You dont see how any of that could potentially be a problem?


Is that being dramatic? Probably as I doubt anything will come of it, but it could and even if it didnt that doesnt make it right.
