My cracked-out-hopeful 2013/14 roster is:

PG: McConnell (r-jr), Mayes (sr)
SG: Johnson (jr), York (so), Cooper (rs)
SF: Frazier (fr), Hamilton (fr), Allen (rs)
PF: Ashley (so), Jerrett (so)
C: Tarczewski (so), Chol (junior), Korcheck (r-jr)

It would be fantastic for a 5th-year for Parrom, but even crack addicts live in the real world, and I don't see the NCAA having heart/mind enough to do right by Parrom.

Bridgewater is completely unnecessary at the moment with Korcheck having two years to play come 2013, and the team needs perimeter scoring/shooting, which is where Hamilton comes in with his versatility on offense. He also provides a fail-safe for 2014 perimeter scoring if Frazier is so good he bolts after one season. Having Hamilton and Frazier at SF for 2013 also enables Allen to redshirt, which he needs for the offensive end.

Assuming this team happens, I think it's safe to say that Ashley or Tarczewski would go pro (I will say Ashley). I will also say that Frazier is that good and he goes pro as well.

So 2014 brings in PJC at PG, a wing and big. Assuming all goes best:

PG:
PG: McConnell (r-sr), Jackson-Cartwright (fr)
SG: Johnson (sr), York (jr), Cooper (r-fr)
SF: Winslow (fr), Hamilton (so), Allen (r-fr)
PF: Jerrett (jr), Korcheck (r-sr)
C: Tarczewski (jr), Chol (jr), Okafor (fr)

Realistically I doubt Okafor signs up if Tarczewski is still here, but this is my ideal.

Again, really not seeing the need for Bridgewater until a junior/senior year, and by then Arizona will likely be able to bring in another high impact PF with actual size.

Won't be upset if he's a Wildcat, but I would prefer they focus on some perimeter scoring.

I like the crack you're smoking JMJ, but hell two of your SFs for the 13/14 team don't even have offers yet, although i wish they did. From the looks of it (Jaron Hopkins offer and aggressively pursuing Bridgewater) it seems like Miller is pursuing guys that are capable of playing multiple positions so he can move them around the next season or 2. There's a lot of good wings in '14 as well keep in mind.

Bridgewater wouldn't sniff the rotation for his first year, and likely doesn't do much his second, because he's not a true SF yet in skill, and is way undersized for PF and is behind much more capable players.

Seems like a take-to-transfer candidate if he does make it to campus.

I like skilled players who know how to contribute to roles. I like and understand versatility, but playing all over the place because you're not skilled/sized enough to play in one is a gimmick best used sparingly.

I am OK with Hopkins from what I am hearing, especially if he develops as a true SF. I could see taking him and Allen, then redshirting Allen.

Still don't understand the logic behind doing so little with Hamilton. He's good enough in skill to contribute early and has the potential and offensive repertoire to be a very strong #2 or great #3 option as a junior and senior.

Nothing wrong with redshirting Bridgewater if it comes to that (something Fendi was never afforded). I'm not opposed to your Frazier, Hopkins, Allen plan either. I hope Allen receives an offer before all is said and done. It'll be interesting how this class finishes up. As long as we land Frazier and depth it's a success though.

I'm with you on the lack of pursuit in Hamilton. Even if you haven't seen him play well in the past the scuttlebutt is already out there for how great he's been playing for Dream Vision. He's absolutely worth pursuing, lack of elite athleticism or not.

I don't get the situation with Hamilton either. Seems like a top notch player.

Agreed. Local kid too. Sure he doesn't have the athleticism of Frazier but he's still a borderline 5 star player. Maybe the staff is just really confident that they can land Frazier?

As evidenced by last year, you can never have too many players who can shoot and create offensive. Hamilton has an array of offensive skills that would translate despite his athleticism. Maybe he's not a defender of note, but you take elite offensive and defensive talents and teach the rest.

Again, I trust Miller and know he's not going to undercut success by taking players he doesn't feel can contribute. Redshirting Bridgewater makes sense, but how many 6-5 PFs success at PF in NCAA and how many successfully make the transition to SF with skill? Very few.

Elite offensive and defensive talents, great way to put it when we're chiming in Hamilton and Allen and neither have offers yet. Sigh...

Well Bridge is listed at 6'6 and he isn't inept in wing skills, while of course his post skills are far superior. I guess the ultimate hope for Bridge would be to put up numbers similar to this added with an actual 3 point percentage of any kind.

I suppose, but with the success Miller has had recruiting bigs thus far, it's hard to imagine that Bridgewater won't be recruited over and over and his opportunities limited. Johnson had his own limitations, so 11-7 is damned impressive considering, but if that's what we're hoping for, I'd rather take 14-16 ppg out of Hamilton as a junior and senior assuming Arizona gets a few other good big men.

Can't say there's much to disagree with here. Also a name we're not mentioning that AZ is hard on for is Marcus Lee. He has stated he'd be willing to sit if there were guys in front of him that were too good. That'd be a dream scenario to have him actually redshirt a year and get better by practicing against our '12 class as unrealistic as that sounds of course.

Yeah... I'd love that, but that would likely cost Allen, or an unexpected transfer or early defection from Ashley or Tarczewski.

I'd be nice, and it's a possibility, but, again, with Miller bringing in Korcheck, the commit in hand takes up the commit in theory, or so it seems.

Would love a class of Cooper, Frasier, Hamilton, Allen and Lee, though...

BTW, it's great feeling like actually talking ball again. Last year was so depressing...

It's nice to be passionately talking about/debating the opportunities of having a down class that includes the possibility of multiple five star and several well-regarded four-star prospects to choose from.

If it'd cost us Allen it'd still be ok, like I said plenty of '14 wings out there. We're likely to see an unexpected transfer anyways as much as we'd all hate to see it. Only 2 of Tarc, Ashley, Chol, and Jerrett can start, so you have to be prepared for that. It'd work out best if someone was a one and done.

Ya. Last year was rough. One of the roughest ever and that includes interim coaching
