Actually, now that were are on the topic of explaining things to the newbie, what does "Sean Miller is a witch!" mean and where does it come from. I laugh everytime I see it.

I still don't get the debate on Lyons...the dude will be here for a year. We survived 2 years of "not a PG" Memomo, and a year (or actually parts of a year) of the most disappointing 5 star recruit in UA history.

Can anything be worse for a year? I don't think so...especially when a proven senior guard transfers to our program because of a coach that he built a relationship with 5 years ago...

This is the exact point I made in one of the 9000 threads that got blown up because people couldn't behave. Like he's going to turn Tarczewski into a member of Icy Hot Stuntaz or something.

I believe 97cats originally came up with "Sean Miller is a witch" for his
recruiting abilities.

Oh no, wasn't implying that at all, it was more just bitterness that there was some good dialogue in that thread that got lost because people were being silly. Anyway, the more people that make this point the better, as far as I'm concerned.

Xudash, thank you for the best write-up on Lyons that I have seen from any source or site!

I envision Lyons will be a more talented Momo -- a scoring point guard who will want the ball in the clutch. He will get to the rim and to the line.

But the rep at Xavier was that Lyons and Tu were both black holes, they never saw a shot that they did not like (and they did not find their teammates very often, preferring the ball in their own hands).

The key for Lyons is to learn to run an offense and dish the dimes when he draws the defense. Between Sean Miller and Lyons knowing he has to develop and prove he has those skills to play at the next level, I think he will.

With Lyons on board, the Cats will truly be back next season (and for many years thereafter). Can't wait for November.
