I am unable to focus on your question at this time.

We are in the midst of a very delicate situation. At this point, I think it's best that we continue to support our players, and wait for everything to unravel before naming potential replacements.

No doubt if Mackovic did go, for the last TOO games Rick Dykes would take over.

The players love this guy, and say he is a players coach. He is very accessible, and is a huge positive source to players and coaches alike.

I 'm hearing some interesting things, and it looks like Dykes may be taking over for the time being.

It's difficult to get good information, so please keep posting anything you've got. But please keep in mind, that players, recruits, families, and fans from other schools read this board as well.

I am a Livengood fan, but his biggest mistake was looking exclusively for coaches with D1 head coaching experience to take over for Tomey.

We need an exciting young stud coordinator to completely overhaul this mess and start going crazy with the recruiting.

Right now my vote is for Bob Stoops' little bro.

Randy Shannon-- defensive coordinator at Miami. He was a large part of the unbelievable run they have been on. He will get a head coaching job this year, either at Arizona or somewhere else.

What about Walt Harris?? Is it? The coach for Pitt. He's turned around their program, i know i would like to coach in the Pac instead of the Big East, but who knows if he'd be interested.

Stoops is a probably a good choice.

Urban Meyer from Bowling Green will be getting a big time job soon. He could be a good one.

or someother head coach of a smaller school with a lot of promise. Whomever we bring in, he must clean the slate. As said by others, there is a disease that we must rid ourselve of. Mac tried to hold the past and present together without much leadership in my mind. He tried to patch up the team with names and not who's the best for the job for team, especially the players.

If I were a junior/senior player and had gone thru 3-4 years of ups and downs like they have, and now this????? Who knows what I'd be thinking.

Accept an error in hiring and plan for the long future. Get someone young, talented, a team player, and who can be around for a while. Someone who wants to be a WILDCAT and not a fixer-upper only to get by and take all the credit when things go good.

I would love to see Mike Riley - he turned around the bottom feeding OSU program and made it respectable. He had little to work with in the NFL at San Diego. I am sure he would love to coach again in the Pac-10!

From Day 1 last year, Stoops seemed like the logical hire to me. He's a winner and has charisma. That's what the UA needs to get started with.
