Many of the experts were saying the A's couldn't keep it up, but they continue to win. It would be a nice story if they can take the division. Yankees and Angels both drop a game further out of first place but stay within a half a game of each other for the wild card spot. The Indian gain a game in the loss column on both teams due to the fact their game was rained out.

A's bullpen is depleted this series...Street and Calero are both unavailable tomorrow, and Kennedy has to be saved in case Harden can't go on Thursday. September 1 can't get here fast enough.

Thanks for another win, KRod. I guess that Angels pen is still better than the A's pen.

why would street be unavailable for today? he only pitch one inning last night, in fact he has only pitched 2.1 innings since august 27th. he is the type of closer who can go two innings. i don't see how he cannot pitch tonight, if needed.

even without street, the a's can still put in justin duchscherer, who is the a's representative in the all star game this year. in addition, guys like jay witasick and keiichi yabu can relieve too. i see that the a's have plenty of options in the bullpen, if needed.

joe kennedy will start again in place of rich harden again. now, this is bad news.

Say what you will but Street still does not impress me...Walks Figgins and GA (which is almost impossible to do) to face Vlad? Calero gets smacked around by lefties. This bullpen is going to blow soon.

Street pitched 2 days in a row...he has problems with his velocity on consecutive days, and I'm sure they won't use him tonight unless it's absolutely necessary. Duke, Witasick, Rincon (ugh), and Yabu are the options tonight. Kennedy has to be held out for Thursday's game, although he could maybe throw an inning.

I'm trying to get some more info on Harden's injury...will post if I find anything out.
