Good G-d!

Bearing Down on The Cats, Bruins and Huskies (And Maybe The Ducks) Having to Carry The Pac Ten This Season. The Rest of The League Has Been Freakin' Pathetic Early On

Well, the verdict is in: Tim Floyd needs to start paying...err...I mean playing some better players.

At least they're no longer coached by Dr. Evil.

Should Bruin fans be chirping about a game involving Northridge?

We can now.

Seriously though, is this just an anamoly or is the Pac in for another rough year.

Washington looks rough, but they are winning and are missing a player or two, and they get it going in the second half so I think they will be ok.

I love, love Jay John but this was a bad loss. I think they have some serious issues to deal with, but have faith in Jay to get it fixed.

USC you can maybe shrug it off to learning a new system and gelling as a team. Cromwell played well, as did Lodrick and Young. Pruitt had a bad game, but he is too good to play like that all year. I think they will continue to struggle thoughout the season until the learn how to defend. Certainly they are talented enough to get some wins this year.

Stanford loss as had been pointed out before is fairly typical for them. Yet, I think they have some problems as well that may keep them from being the type of team many suspect of them. They need to find some more consistent scoring options.

It has been an ugly start and hopefully the Pac can get things turned around. I don't even know if Arizona winning Maui will help because everyone expects them to do well. UCLA needs to beat Memphis (a tall order) and the other teams have to beat the rest of their nonconference opponents they are supposed to beat or once again the Pac wil get zero respect come tourny time with seeding and bubble teams. Obviously it is early, but this is a disturbing trend.

I don't know, but are you going to keep "chirping" about our offense without 3-4 starters playing?

Yup. Just like you will keep chirping about how Howland has the SoCal recruiting market covered and Arizona will never take another recruit out of it.

Seriously . . . if Arizona struggles that mightily with a 2nd rate team no matter how many starters are out, there will be (and historically has been) plenty of criticism. Are you guys really content to play the injury card? I'd be concerned if I were you. Not mortally concerned . . . but concerned.

Yes, we're mortally concerned. I'm sure Arizona fans would take it in stride if 3 or 4 starters were missing from the lineup. We won by 18 or 19 yesterday, but hey, we should have won by 40 against a tournament team from last year when we had 2-3 freshmen on the court for the majority of the game. Considering many Bruins feel Farmar and Shipp are our two best players, it would be interesting to see if Arizona lost Adams, Mcllelan, Walters and fox. My bet is the 'Cats would struggle.
