Colorado defense . . .

Supposedly Colorado has the #22 rush defense in the country. In reality, they look like some "vintage" Arizona teams . . . you know, the ones where our linebackers would hit runners and bounce off them like a superball off the garage floor? I have not seen one solid tackle yet.

Should be a long day for Colorado . . .

If you can pass all day, why run?

Texas' "passes" are just glorified runs . . .

True, but if I remember correctly from the whole year, Colorado's run defense looks relatively good in comparison with their atrocious pass D.

Huh? You can't be serious. Texas runs a vertical passing game that frees up Vince if he wants to run. They rarely run WR screens, and only throw out into the flats after VY has gone thru his options.

In this game? I've been flipping back and forth between the basketball game, but every "pass" I've seen (other than the interception) have been passes to the flats, or Vince Young scrambles. Four complete for 31 yards = less than 7 yards per, no?

I respect women and everything, but Vince Young throws like a girl...And Bill is right, he's a runner, that's it. His receivers make him look good more often than not on those passes he just throws up for grabs and they come down with. 'SC kills this team in the Rose Bowl.

In this game so far, yes. But in general, with the rest of their games, they have a vertical passing game.

A "Glorified run" passing game consists of screens, WR screens, and first option flat passes to the TE or FB. That doesn't happen at Texas.

Vince is taking what they are giving him right now.

It was 27 yards down the field, but it was soft-tossed, too high, and behind the reciever. He can't throw.

That was a good pass. Don't be puckish because your QB throws like a girl.

Or that one?

You mean he throws it where his taller recievers can get it? Oh what a crime.

Anyone can throw jump balls, his WR with a 6 inch advantage is the one making the plays.

See, also: Chad Henne and Braylon Edwards, 2004, and lack of a vertical game in 2005.
