Have we answered our needs?

Now that our recruiting class is shaping up have we filled all of our needs. I am pretty satisfied except for the defensive tackles and defensive ends. I mean I know this is a good problem to have ,but we have kids that are committing to us or close to it in positions we don't really need. I am just worried we will use up all of our scholarships and still not get more much needed depth for the defensive tackles and defensive ends.

The Defensive line hopefully will come around this week with Holmes and Long possibly committing.

If we get Long and Holmes then we won't have to worry about that position. We are likely to get Reed at DE, and 2 more Corners (Wright and Ross), as well as 2 more recievers if not 3 (Holland, Turner, Puffy). I hope we can get Devon Jefferson at LB and then if we can finish off the class with players who can add depth at DT, DE, TE, OL or punter we will be sitting very pretty.

I agree, especially after the commits of both Dean and Resse, similar players with more time to develop, as a JC guy you need little to no competition so that you can get the playing time you desire to get to the next level.

Do you mean Purify at WR and Devin Johnson at LB? (Not trying to correct you, just trying to clarify and understand)

i say that cuz i have a friend here at UA from omaha and he is always up on UNL recruiting and every time i mention purify, he just says "NOPE GOIN TO NEBRASKA"

If we're full at wide receiver before he can visit, it won't matter, but if not, watch out for Aaron Straiten from SFCC, a blazing WR who could give us immediate help.

IMO the only position that I am a little worried about is OL, and even there I know we're going to be improved. If that OL comes around, our offense will bring something that we've never seen from an Arizona offense before. I think the DL situation will be just fine, as I have a very good feeling about this week. With 2 of those spots wrapped up, our D will be insane.

Maybe Fenuki Tupou OL is ready to commit to Arizona instead of Ore.

word on the street is not to worry. i've mentioned this before, but its worth saying again. a co-worker of my wife ran into the O Line coach a while back(can't think of his name...). he said he was having a hard time because they lost so many O Linemen under Mackocrap it's like he's been working without 2 years worth of good O Line recruits. but he also said that with the young guys that have been playing, and getting experience...and with some guys they had RS that the O Line is going to be vastly improved next year. take it for what its worth...a second hand story, from a coach ( which coaches always talk positively with the general public and fans ), but i personally think the Cats will be okay on the offensive side of the ball. the only real question mark for me is the D line. if Gabe and Louis commit, i'll feel better about it...but you never know with juco players...
