Here is a WMV version of the same video. Just testing which one is better (MPG or WMV). Any feedback would be great. Which do you prefer?

Cool Video! Definitely the MPG is better IMO. The picture looks clearer and I was running into lag with the WMV version.

I'd agree, seemed clearer. I didn't have the lag issues (cable connection), but it did appear clearer on the MPG clip.

The MPG is definitely better quality. I didn't have any lag with either.

WMV quality is very adjustable too. You can make WMV as good or better than MPG. In fact, they were considering using WMV as the new Blu-ray spec but decided to stick with MPEG2.

However, youtube does not store them as MPG or WMV, they are FLI files. Youtube just converts them before they release them.

Trial and error for me.

I think the reason I had lag issues with WMV is because I was running both videos simultaneously. The MPG ran fine while the WMV would run in a jerky motion and would skip frames.

I don't want to record it multiple times to get the freeze frames out. They occur at the worst times.
