Rumor is ASU will have Dave McGinnis, Norm Chow and Larry Marmie.

Apparently it is all a done deal and will be announced as soon as tomorrow.

What are everyone's thoughts on this, if it is true? Can McGinnis have success as a college coach? Chow is obviously a proven commodity at the college level and will be able to do well with ASU's offense. But I know people in St. Louis think that Marmie did a terrrrrrrrrible job with their defense, so I'm not sure he's going to do any good. Especially after the really good job Bill Miller did for the Sun Devils this year.

What does everyone think about McGinnis as the new head coach of ASU (if true)?

If they got Chow as OC, it almost doesn't matter what other pieces they currently have around him as all those other pieces can be changed. Getting Chow is quite the feat...if true.

After watching Mac bumble his way through drafts and in coaching for years with the Cardinals, I can safely say he's a poor coach but will do wonders for lining up season ticket holders and selling the program. Marmie is abysmal at any level. Their offense will obviously be something else though but that has never been a problem.

Is it a good group, really? Chow is obviously great, and getting him in any capacity helps, but I'm not convinced McGinnis can be a head coach at any level. We'll see... maybe.

Fisher is in line to be the next Dallas Cowboys coach, can't be him.

Fisher would obviously be a coup along with Chow in any capacity. McGinnis and Marmie are terrible.

Has anyone heard the Bill Cowher to NC State rumor? Those Wolfpack fans crack me up.

I still think that NC State might make a run at Chow.

Please someone on this board tell me why Norm Chow would take that position? Seriously, why in the world would he do that? It just does not make any sense considering all of the open jobs in college right now....

I'm not sure about Chow, but I heard about McGinnis and Marmie. Decent hire if true, even better with Chow. Obviously they are trying to emulate what USC did.

Honestly, I hope this is true, and that the new staff is successful. I really hate ASU, but it only helps both schools if the other is doing well.
