Ponson to the Giants is the nail in the coffin. More importantly it really sets them up in the post-season, giving them a big match up edge against Atlanta.

If the Giants don't win it all this year, the trade may be a disaster.

That being said, I'm very pleased that the organization is going all out right now.

I think we'll see Barry get 715 in SF.....after that he may be in Anaheim.

We've got this year and next year before the major rebuilding project begins. I'm hoping that Alou's longstanding relationship with Vlad the Bad may make him the cornerstone for the post-Barry era.

I'm just hoping that Randy Johnson's appearances in the new pizza commercials are his sign of surrender. I can't possibly come up with any other excuse for them...I mean, couldn't they at least have gotten ownership's approval and let Randy wear an actual D'Backs uni, rather then the vaguely purple "51" hat?
