I haven't seen Bardo's Best of the West tonight, where he invariably will say that New Mexico is far better than every Pac-10 team.

SMC should be fine as long as USD doesn't win tomorrow. If that happens there could be some problems.

As we've been talking about all day with regards to the Pac-10, whether or not USD wins tomorrow over Gonzaga will have no bearing on if SMC gets into the tournament unless SMC is currently the 35th best at-large team and they need Gonzaga to move off the at-large line to the automatic line.
Otherwise, the committee will compare SMC against all other at-large contenders and will not count how many WCC berths there are. |

Bill Grier has done a nice job with USD this season, but Brad Holland set a solid foundation for that program - does anyone know where he's at these days? I just found out former Utah HC Ray Giacoletti is an assistant at Gonzaga.
