Saw West Virginia last week

I went to the Big East tourney and saw the West Virginia/UCONN game. The kid Joe Alexander is a beast...he is a nba Chris Mullin/Tom Gugliaotta type who can create his own shot and if he is on then we are in for it. Fresman point guard, and they really rely on the perimiter. Not a whole lot down low so the key is if we can shut Alexander and the shooters down.

nice write up. I don't want to say cocky but I have a very good feeling about this game...I feel like if we get jordan going down low and budinger hitting 3's we will win this game with relative ease.

If their perimeter guys are like Oregon we are in trouble. If they are more like Wazzu we should be able to get out and defend the three ball.

Just watching some clips it looks like a good match up for us.

I think we get our ass handed to us. Chase doesn't close out on 3's and I think just like Oregon we will be in for a long night. Don't feel comfortable with this matchup at all.

I think if we played oregon at home we would have won that game... oregon is very tough to beat at home. this is a good matchup for us...can chase stay with alexander? if not chase who will guard him?

Bob Huggins teams have not had much success against Lute Olson teams. Of course it's KON that is coaching. And I think he will find a way to screw up the game by mucking up the X's and O's.

not sure anyone can stay with alexander, he torched connecticut who is a very good defensive team for 30 points.

This game will be a war for you guys. West Virginia is very tough and everyone on their team can shoot from the perimeter. Arizona will have to bring the D to advance. Should be a great game.

My concern of Hill is that he stays out of foul trouble so that the WVU beast doesn't kill us.

Given the situation, we would expect a tough first round game. The question is basically how do we match up. We seem to match up size-wise with WV. The defense against a perimeter team is tricky, part hustle, part luck.

To me its a quickness issue. that is why Oregon just kills us. they penetrate and kick. We play off of them and they bury the three ball.

Wazzu can't beat us off the dribble so we beat them twice.

From the clips I saw WVU didn't look as quick as the Ducks but I could be wrong.

Put bayless on Alexander ala Muggsy on Drazen like Lute did. Don't let Alexander ever put the ball on the floor and if he posts up help him out.
